It is with great sadness that we remember Renna Yi of Somerset, whose passing has deeply affected her family, friends, and the academic community.
Renna was an accomplished and driven individual who earned her Bachelor’s degree in Physics and Mathematics from Rutgers University–New Brunswick. She was known for her strong work ethic, intellectual curiosity, and passion for learning—qualities that shaped both her academic path and her future ambitions.
Throughout her studies, Renna gained valuable experience as a research assistant, contributing to a range of scientific projects. Her work spanned areas such as mathematical modeling, oceanographic data analysis, and astrophysical research. She explored complex topics including Riesz energy equilibrium systems, analyzed velocity data using MATLAB, and modeled stardust composition using specialized tools. Her contributions reflected both her analytical ability and her commitment to advancing knowledge.
Renna described herself as hardworking and eager to grow, with a genuine desire to make a meaningful impact. She had a strong interest in data analytics and clean energy, and she looked forward to applying her skills in industry while continuing to learn and evolve.
